If you love trying new games and like twisting your mind to find logical moves in order to gain victory, then now you must try Barricade. It’s a turn-based game played inspired by a popular board game ‘pawn race’. It’s a fantastic game that can be enjoyed with friends or family, as it supports multiplayer up to 4. The game is much captivating as it requires you to use your mind to maker your move strategically to make one of your pawns reach the final square. While on your way through hard road, you’d have to block and attack enemies, and protect your pawns. There also are black pawns in the game known as barricades aids you in blocking the path and can be taken if you get the exact value on dice.
Barricade 1.1 opens with a pleasing graphical appearance and also features good sound and music effects to make your playing experience even fun and interesting. For the first time players it imparts direct access to help so that you can learn about the game, pawns, moves, and rules before beginning to play it. Selecting to play a ‘New Game’ it offers a dialog box allowing you to choose the players from human or robot, and set names accordingly. For first move either you can choose it to be random first player, or select the team if you’re playing as teams. Press Ok and you’re taken back to main screen with game all set to be played. Now as assigned the dice is automatically thrown turn-wise for players, according to which you’ve to make the moves progressing to reach the final square. In addition, it imparts options to select different Board styles such as big, big2, butterfly, dual, gun, official, small, and trio; enable/disable sound and music; alter window appearance; and options relating dice, robot speed, move help, and state bar.
You would find the Barricade much fun and addictive due to it strategy-based game-play and choice of robot as well human as opponents to spare against. Considering its fantastic interface, smooth controls, and interesting game-play, the game is assigned 3.5 rating points.
